[0:03] From Hi-Fi Speakers, I am Mark Whitney with today's Educational Minute. Listen up.
[0:10] Forget your nerves. How do you calm your audience's nerves? You know, when people introduce a new speaker, you realize the audience is nervous. They're nervous for you. They want you to be good. They want you to be good. They don't want to have to work to pretend to be interested. They want you to be good. And you know, when they start judging you, the minute you get up from your seat and start walking towards the stage, are you walking like you belong? Do you get up from your chair and walk toward that stage, walk toward that lectern, walk toward that podium with confidence, like you're prepared, reach out and grab the host, the MC, the Toastmasters hand, shake their hand, pat them on the shoulder, send them off to their seat and take that stage. Take that space like you belong. You know, if you do that, before you utter a single word or make a single gesture, the audience is going to exhale because they know they are in good hands. They know it. And now you're set up for success.
