[0:03] From Hi-Fi Speakers, I am Mark Whitney with today's Educational Minute. Listen up. How much time should you spend opening up your speech at the beginning? How much time should you spend? No more than 10%, like 5 or 10%, right? 75 to 150 words. The majority of the time should be spent focused on the body of your speech. But you got to set it up so people have an idea where you're going, right? So think about 10%. So if you're shooting for six minutes, right, about six minutes times 60, what's that, 360 seconds? So maybe 30 seconds. Take 30 seconds and devote 30 seconds to laying things out. Where are you going to take people? What is your objective? What's your purpose?
